How to use the library
The library is organized by topic. The books are labeled according to their subject. After that, I try to keep them in alphabetical order by title, but if it doesn’t happen, the world will go on. The zines are also organized by topic, much broader topics. To issue a library card so someone can check something out:
1. Make a library card for the patron. Put their new library card number on it, which can be found in the binder with library information.
2. Take the person’s name and phone number and email address and make a card in the index for them. It’s organized by first name. This way their contact information is saved in case the books never come back.
3. Write down in the book what they’re taking and who’s taking it. Also write it on their card.
4. Let them know when it is due (3 weeks)
5. When the book/zine is returned, put it back in the section it belongs.
If books are donated, put them in the box near the zines so it can be cataloged, a place found for it, labeled and stamped.
